Our dojo has relocated to Unity Martial Arts as of August 2025. If you are still enrolled with Genesis Health Club, please cancel your membership immediately.
Monthly Dojo Membership Dues
Payments are due every month:
- Beginners, first month: $100 (this is for your practice shinai and covers first 2 months of practice)
- Membership fee, all ages: $30/ per month
Arkansas Kendo Club is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Club fees are used strictly for our members’ benefit to practice kendo. We use membership dues for the overhead of website, purchase of equipment, sensei visits, events hosted by AKC, etc.
The instructors are not reimbursed for teaching the class.

Monthly Gym Membership Dues
Payments are made directly through Unity Martial Arts website portal. All AKC members must be registered with Unity Martial Arts in order to train.

- No additional fees or contracts

Cost break down to practice kendo:
Members:
- Dojo Membership $30 + Gym Membership $45
- = Total $75 monthly
- = Total $75 monthly
Beginners:
- Dojo Membership $100 (covers first 2 months of training) + Gym Membership $45
- =Total $145 for first month
Yearly AUSKF + SWKIF Federation Dues
The All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF) is a non-profit umbrella organization supporting the regional member federations by:
- Organizing national tournaments
- Training a U.S. team for international competition
- Organizing promotional examination opportunities for higher ranks
- Interfacing to the International Kendo Federation (FIK).
- Providing the member federations with support programs to promote kendo in their region by providing guest instructors, examiners, and arranging for seminars to be given by expert sensei from foreign countries.
